Great taste Awards 2022!

I am thrilled to announce two of my products have been named among the top food and drink producers globally this year, picking up a highly prized 2 -star Great Taste award for my 100% Grassfed Leg of Lamb and a 1 -star Great Taste award for my 28 day Hung 100% Grassfed Beef Rump Steak.

More than 14,000 products were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process; and Emma’s Ewesful Acres Leg of Lamb was dubbed a “Tender, juicy and flavourful. Cuts nicely. The meat is close-grained and quite lean. The flavour is deep and rich and is nicely juicy. Tasty fat. The skin crisps up beautifully and has a deep flavour. A treat to eat” from judges at the world’s most coveted food and drink awards. Only 1,237 were awarded a Great Taste 2-star – ‘above and beyond delicious’

The rump steak was described as “This steak looks appetising and appealing with a glossy finish and juices coming out of it. The meat is tender, succulent and melts in your mouth, reflecting the quality of the cattle and their diet. The provenance story is impressive” by the judges.

I am very proud of the meat I produce from my animals on conservation grazing however I am even prouder of the way my animals enhance the soil health and biodiversity of the habitat in which they live.

I am thrilled that both my entries have been awarded stars as only 5,556 products to receive a Great Taste award in 2022 (which is only 39.1% of the total products entered).

Spring Greetings!

Spring Greetings! With the wind fiercely blowing all the winter cobwebs away and the days getting longer, March has arrived and with it the promise of new life at Ewesful Acres. The first spring calves are due any day now and spring lambs are due near the end of the month so preparations are all go to welcome their arrival.

The December born lambs are growing well and are grazing the Thames Path with their mums at Clifton Meadows near Clifton Hampden. So if you feel like a spring walk along the Thames then you may well see them for yourself! Just remember to keep your canine companions on a lead please!

To celebrate the warmer months coming and to encourage you to dust off your BBQ, I am pleased to announce a new delicious product line for 2021 season. Beef sausages in two flavours, Beef & Herb and Beef Chilli! They are made with our 100% grass fed beef, 5% pork fat and Seasonings. These are available along side our range of Classic Beef, Italian Beef and Minty Lamb burgers.

Finally due to popular demand, I have added two mixed box options for this month. One for BBQ lovers and the other variety Family pack!
